Apple iPad 9th Generation (2021) - Cellular Excellent Silver 64gb

Refurbished Apple iPad 9th Generation (2021) 64GB Cellular – 10.2-Inch Retina Display

The Apple iPad 9th Generation remains one of the most dependable and practical tablets in the Apple lineup. Released in 2021 and powered by the A13 Bionic chip, it delivers smooth everyday performance, reliable 4G connectivity, and long-term software support — all in a familiar 10.2-inch design that continues to meet the needs of students, families, and professionals across the UK.

This refurbished cellular model offers the flexibility of both WiFi and mobile data, making it a versatile choice whether you’re working from home, studying on campus, travelling, or simply streaming your favourite content.

A Proven Performer That Still Holds Its Value

The 9th-generation iPad was built around Apple’s A13 Bionic processor — the same chip architecture used in the iPhone 11 series. Even in 2026, it provides responsive performance for everyday tasks such as browsing, video calls, document editing, streaming, and light gaming.

Apps launch quickly, multitasking remains smooth, and Apple’s software optimisation ensures the device feels stable rather than sluggish. For households looking for a reliable shared tablet, or students needing something dependable for coursework and research, the iPad 9 continues to be a safe and sensible choice.

64GB Storage – Practical for Everyday Use

With 64GB of internal storage, this configuration comfortably supports typical daily usage. It provides enough space for essential apps, downloaded films, coursework files, photos, and casual games without pushing the price unnecessarily high.

For users who rely mainly on cloud storage services such as iCloud, Google Drive, or OneDrive, 64GB remains a balanced option that keeps costs down while maintaining flexibility.

WiFi and 4G Cellular Connectivity

Unlike WiFi-only models, this version supports both wireless internet and 4G LTE connectivity. By inserting a compatible UK SIM card, you can stay connected while commuting, travelling, or working remotely without depending solely on public WiFi networks.

This added mobility transforms the device from a home tablet into a portable productivity tool. Students can access online resources between lectures, professionals can respond to emails on the move, and families can stream content during travel without interruption.

The cellular model is commonly identified as the A2602 variant, ensuring compatibility with the correct accessories and cases.

10.2-Inch Retina Display with True Tone

Apple’s 10.2-inch Retina display remains one of the standout features of this generation. With a resolution of 2160 × 1620, text appears sharp, images look vibrant, and video playback remains detailed and colour accurate.

True Tone technology adjusts the screen’s colour temperature based on ambient lighting, helping reduce eye strain during extended reading or study sessions. Whether you’re watching films, attending online classes, or editing documents, the display remains comfortable and clear.

Designed for Study, Work and Entertainment

One of the reasons the 9th-generation iPad remains popular is its versatility. It adapts easily to different environments:

Students benefit from note-taking apps, research tools, and compatibility with the first-generation Apple Pencil.
Remote workers can manage emails, attend video meetings, and review documents efficiently.
Families use it for streaming platforms, web browsing, and educational apps.
Casual gamers find it capable of handling titles such as Roblox and other light-to-moderate games smoothly.

It strikes a balance between affordability and performance that many newer budget tablets struggle to match.

Ongoing iPadOS Support

Apple’s long software support cycle is one of the strongest reasons to choose an iPad over many low-cost alternatives. The 9th-generation model continues to receive security patches and operating system updates, ensuring access to the latest features and ongoing compatibility with the App Store ecosystem.

Regular updates also contribute to long-term security, privacy protection, and app stability — factors that matter just as much as raw performance.

Refurbished with Quality Assurance

Each refurbished iPad undergoes a structured inspection and testing process before resale. Hardware components are checked for functionality, battery performance is assessed, connectivity is verified, and the device is securely wiped and reset.

The result is a professionally prepared tablet that delivers reliable performance at a significantly lower cost than buying brand new. Cosmetic condition may vary depending on the selected grade, but functionality remains fully tested.

Choosing refurbished is not only cost-effective; it also reduces electronic waste and supports more sustainable consumption.

Why the 9th Generation Still Makes Sense in 2026

Newer tablets often come with higher price tags but only incremental performance improvements for everyday users. For browsing, streaming, education, communication, and light productivity, the 9th-generation iPad continues to offer more than enough capability.

For many buyers in the UK, this model represents the sweet spot between affordability, Apple reliability, and long-term usability.
